Qualified on all major AFP and ATL lines, our exclusive PrecisionSlit® cutting technology allows us to slit prepreg composite tapes as narrow as 0.125″ (3.2 mm) while exceeding aerospace tolerances. We match tape length, winding patterns, liner materials, and spool sizes to meet the specific fabrication requirements of our customers, providing them with custom-formatted material that streamlines workflow, increases production rates, and reduces overall waste.
Web Industries trip dots are precision cut to customer specifications, and our cutting technologies allow us to offer a wide range of circumferences and thicknesses to match wind tunnel testing environments and model scales.
Easier to apply and remove than traditional silicon carbide deposition airflow disruption bumps, our trip dots feature uniform shape and consistent relative positioning that enhances the repeatability of boundary layer testing and the quality of the generated results.
Web Industries Superbulk® polypropylene cable fillers are lighter, stronger, and safer than traditional alternatives. We custom-tailor our cable fillers to meet specific engineering and production requirements, including custom colors, fibrillation levels, fiber diameter, tensile strength, and elongation. Superbulk® is formed into yarns and tapes, and is much more flexible than piped-in polypropylene foam or beads. Adaptable to most combinations, Superbulk® polypropylene is used alone or in combination with other materials.

Our flame-retardant (FR) Superbulk® and zero-halogen flame retardant (ZHFR) Superbulk® cable fillers were developed to meet strict military, transportation, and energy industry requirements. They can be used alone or with other materials to add cost-effective flame-retardant properties to mission-critical cables. Used in NAVSEA-approved products, ZHFR Superbulk® offers outstanding flame retardancy with zero-halogen, zero-acid-gas, low-smoke/fuel density performance. Both products are REACH and RoHS compliant, and work to smother fires before they get out of control.
With our film extrusion and precision slitting and spooling services, Web Industries manufactures separator and signal isolation tapes to our customers’ unique specifications, including strength, thickness, and color. Our component customization allows for a greater fine-tuning of the end product and imbues our customers’ products with unique performance characteristics that make them stand out in the marketplace. Tapes are available in standard polypropylene; fire-retardant; and low-smoke, fire-retardant blends.
Web Industries’ specialty film extrusion services produce high-quality polyolefin and polypropylene films designed for our customers’ end products. Our extrusion facilities provide complete control of the film making process, allowing us to customize the characteristics to match our customers’ technical specifications. Film extrusion is often a precursor step in producing a final product, we combine our film making with other in-line or same-facility converting and material management services such as slitting, cross winding, and doubling, creating an efficient single-source supplier solution.
In response to market demand, our laminated shielding tapes offer superior performance and easier use during end-product production. They feature polyester or polypropylene tape and aluminum foil construction, are manufactured to precise tolerances, and are available in a variety of configurations, including continuous and segmented tapes and cross web configurations. The tapes’ product shielding performance, product marking, and deliverable formats are all customizable, designed to address evolving industry requirements.
