In recent years, as the aerospace market has embraced commercial scale construction using prepreg carbon fiber tape, Web Industries made significant investments to scale up our operations to meet these growing demands. In 2005, we opened a new facility in Atlanta, Georgia with three times the space of our former site and plenty of additional space available for further expansion. Atlanta is now our center of excellence for composites used in aerospace and other markets. Using our Development Center, Web Industries is well equipped to help our customers optimize and qualify new materials for automated fiber placement applications.

With considerable on-site freezer capacity and clean room manufacturing environments controlled for temperature and humidity, Web Industries has the experience and processes to manage the material flow of carbon fiber prepreg tapes and other sensitive composites. Highly productive, customized slitting and spooling equipment, sophisticated process controls, automated inspection systems, electronic documentation and a highly trained staff complete the equation and provide you with the assurance you need in a contract manufacturing partner for tight tolerance, highly regulated composite products.

We recently introduced our own proprietary film liner product, STT AeroLiner™ Tape developed for high strength and low profile to maximize pre-preg yield on the finished spools. Web Industries has qualified prepreg slit tape spools on all major fiber placement systems in the aerospace industry. We build custom designed spool packages to AS9100 standards and take the guess-work out of slit tape qualification for production programs. Our capabilities help enable further advancement of composite applications in military and commercial programs.
