Business Development Manager, Advanced Composites
LOCATION: Midwest Based Preferred

Web Industries, a 100% employee-owned company, is the largest and most diverse provider of flexible material converting and end-product manufacturing services for the Advanced Composites, Medical, Consumer Health & Hygiene, Multi-Layer Insulation, and Wire & Cable markets.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to create demand for our Advanced Composites formatting services and sell/close business in newly defined territories and markets.

The key responsibilities include:
• New Business Development – Acquiring new business through target account identification, demand creation, territory development, prospecting, and lead cultivation.
• Pipeline Management – Managing a balanced pipeline of opportunities.
• Opportunity Management – Proactively leading cross-functional teams through the sales process. This includes driving/orchestrating the significant milestones (discovery, qualification, linkage to pains and urgencies, connections with powerful decision makers, objection handling and differentiation, managing power and politics, presentations, proposal development, negotiations, closing).
• Operations Team Support – Supporting the information and development needs of the servicing plant(s) personnel (Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Care, etc.).
• Sales/Marketing Strategy Development – Assisting in the development of strategies and tactics for capturing new customers in the Advanced Composites market.
• Industry Consultant – Staying current on market information through trade journals, meetings, and industry contact networks. Anticipating emerging opportunities in strategic markets and preparing plans to capitalize on them.
• – Complying with company directives to fully utilize our database (contact management, opportunity pipeline, customer complaints, key events, and documentation).
• Territory Administration – Adhering to all company policies and managing company property and assets in a responsible manner. This includes timely and complete submission of all sales reporting requirements, expense reports and other data inquiries as needed.
• Promotional Opportunities – Making recommendations to the Director of Business Development regarding print advertising, trade show participation and other promotional activities.

Qualified candidates will have the following:
• Leadership skills
• Undergraduate degree
• 7-10 years (minimum) of professional outside sales experience is required
• Technical sales / engineering background with experience selling in the aerospace markets is desired
• Experience in selling technical solutions that involve flexible materials, materials sciences, contract supply chain management services, contract manufacturing services, and/or converting services is a major plus
• A successful track record selling in a solution-oriented, products and services, long-term contract model
• Proven ability to consistently exceeded individual goals. This track record should include performance as a hunter / demand creator with new accounts and territories (not as an account manager or caretaker)
• Comfortable ability to follow a consistent team-based process and methodology for winning new business with a sales cycle that could last 6-18 months depending on the size and duration of the contract
• Experience using the following Sales Methodologies is a major plus: RADAR from The Complex Sale, Strategic Selling, Target Account Selling, SPIN Selling, Solution Selling
• A detail-oriented nature with strong Microsoft Office skills
• Comfortable working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / Sales Force Automation (SFA) tools such as on a daily basis
• Ability and willingness to devote 40-50% of your time to traveling to your accounts and territory
• U.S. Person status required
