At Web Industries, outsource flexible material converting and end-product contract manufacturing are our core businesses. From composites to plastics, nonwovens to specialty films, we have experience with a range of materials that few companies can match – and a knowledge base that few companies can equal. We work with our clients to understand the materials being converted and how they are used in the final product. Then we find ways to make the entire process faster, more reliable, and more cost-effective for everyone.

Our goal is to partner with innovative companies and get their products into the marketplace ahead of the competition. From the latest commercial airliners to juice boxes, extension cords, and medical testing consumables, materials that we’ve slit, spooled, cut, or printed along with finished products that we’ve assembled are used every day and can be found around the world and in nearly every home in North America. This leadership position allows us to provide our customers with superior outsource converting and manufacturing services based on a history of expertise and success, a passionate set of company values, and a culture of continuous improvement and self-investment.

As a 100% employee-owned company, we know that our success is driven by the success of our clients, making us stewards not just of our business but of theirs as well. This intersection of employee ownership and customer stewardship drives us to constantly improve our business and manufacturing processes, discover new efficiencies, develop new capabilities, and deliver a level of responsiveness that cannot be found in other companies.

+ Culture

Web Industries believes in the power of teamwork and that every business opportunity is a chance to build a lasting relationship. We know that there is a real energy that exists when companies are open, honest, and working together to meet mutual goals. As a company, we thrive on that energy and work to bring it into every product and every project that we touch.

Every project follows our structured process, and we begin by asking a lot of questions. By developing a shared knowledge base with our clients, we can understand their immediate needs while planning for the long term. This allows us to create and deliver converting services and manufacturing solutions that will work today, tomorrow, and far into the future.

We know that materials, machines, and regulations are constantly evolving, and that continuous improvement is an essential component in always providing our partners with optimum converting and manufacturing solutions. Web embraces Lean Manufacturing principles in all aspects of our business, from administrative to operations and internal business processes. We’re focused on understanding and minimizing non-value added activities in all of our process, and we subscribe to the belief that every process can be improved again and again.

+ Values

From Web’s earliest days, our business has been built on the principles of fairness, integrity, and respect for people. Or, as company founder Bob Fulton puts it, “The Essence of Life is Relationships.” As a company, we believe that everyone has an inherent worth, and it is our goal to create an environment where our employee-owners as well as our clients can reach their potential as human beings.

+ History

Web Industries is a classic example of a successful entrepreneurial American start-up company. Founded in 1969 by Bob Fulton on $10,000 raised from family and friends, the company initially focused on serving the rolled goods slitting and spooling market in the greater Boston area. In the early days, Web flourished by exceeding the expectations that our clients and their customers demanded, and we earned a reputation throughout the Northeast as the converting company to trust for precision converting of technically advanced flexible materials.

As success brought us increasingly complex challenges from our clients, Web’s business process was expanded to include manufacturing capabilities and value-added services such as manufacturing process design, quality assurance, and supply chain management. In 2000, Web became a 100% employee-owned company. We believe this employee ownership gives us, and ultimately gives our clients, a competitive advantage by motivating every Web employee-owner to deliver value every day.

Forty-five years later, Web has seven locations with 600,000+ square feet of dedicated advanced converting and manufacturing space in the United States and Europe. We’re proud that we’ve played a key role in nearly every market that uses flexible materials as a component, and we look forward to helping invent the future with our customers.
