Located 35 miles southwest of Logan airport, our Boston, MA, facility was built to our specifications in 2001 and includes several controlled manufacturing environments for medical and other specialized converting and assembly operations. It specializes in commercial programs that involve demanding specifications and require extensive qualifications and engineering support. This location has proven experience in automated manufacturing, assembly, and packaging. It’s also where we can design, qualify, and manage the end-to-end supply chain for high-value materials.

Lateral Flow Center of Excellence

Located within our Boston, MA, facility, the Lateral Flow Center of Excellence is our one-stop manufacturing solution that offers a reliable path from small-scale test development to high-volume commercialization of new LFI devices. Purpose-built for automated reel-to-reel medical device production, it features an in-house biochemistry lab, reagent deposition, LFI strip manufacturing, device assembly, and packaging.

Located 45 miles northeast of the Atlanta airport, this modern facility was built to our specification and opened in 2005. As innovators of the best composite formatting services and technologies in the industry, Atlanta is Web Industries’ Center of Excellence for Aerospace composite testing and formatting. AS9100C certified, it is our largest facility and features controlled manufacturing environments and separate receiving and shipping freezer capabilities. There is ample capacity to serve the growing contract manufacturing demands of the composites industry, as well as our regional customers in other market segments.

Development Center for Composites Automation

Located within our Atlanta, GA, facility, The Composite Automation Development Center, is the only facility fully dedicated to testing new carbon fiber prepreg composites for qualification and use in both Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) and Automated Tape Laying (ATL) manufacturing equipment. This accelerates end-to-end material development and qualification cycles, reduces capital and labor costs, and speeds products to market.

The self-contained operation features dedicated pilot slitting/spooling lines to assess material processability, an AS9100C certified material analysis lab to determine the optimum environmental factors for successful composite formatting, and secure visitor conference rooms and workstations for productive onsite visits.

Thermoplastic Composite Development & Qualification Center

Located within our Atlanta, GA, facility, the Thermoplastic Composite Development & Qualification Center is specifically designed, staffed, and equipped for the purpose of creating processes to format thermoplastic carbon fiber prepreg materials, including PEEK, PEKK and PPS, for use in various fabrication technologies. This facility also proves and qualifies the equipment that will process emerging thermoplastic composite formats.

Established in 2010, our Denton, TX, facility was custom-built to serve the expanding advanced composites ply cutting, ply kitting, and material management needs of aerospace, aviation, and defense manufacturers located in and around Texas. It also serves the multi-layer insulation (MLI) markets, cutting, assembling, and shipping MLI blankets and CAD Cut Cryokits® to clients in the aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors. Designed for expansion in response to market trends and featuring environmentally controlled cutting rooms and on-site freezer storage, the location holds AS9100C and ISO 9001:2008 certifications.

Web Industries acquired the Fort Wayne operation from KT Industries in 2004. This modern facility was opened in 1988 and expanded in 1997 and again in 2018. The Fort Wayne operation serves multiple markets via several of the world’s largest custom designed slitting/spooling lines, which provide industry-leading large-format spooling, as well as multi-color wide-web flexographic printing and customized material management services.

Located 45 miles east of Hartford or west of Providence, Rhode Island, this facility is Web’s center of excellence for the development of customized film extrusion, innovative wire & cable components, and the assembly of multi-layer flexible devices. Holding ISO 9001:2008, 13485, and 14001 certifications and FDA-registered, this facility focuses on industrial, wire & cable, and medical diagnostic applications. Early design services include materials selection and testing, design for manufacturability, FMEA and risk assessment. Flexible manufacturing platforms in an ISO Class 7 environment support customers with early development and pilot-scale manufacturing. Web Hartford scales to commercial volume manufacturing on custom-built lines.

Established in 1991, our Vermont facilities have evolved as the company expanded from its technical textile table-cutting roots and into formatting and ply kitting advanced composites and manufacturing multi-layer insulation kits for cryogenic installations. Holding AS9001C and ISO 9001:2008 certifications, the Middlesex, Vermont, manufacturing campus houses multiple environmentally controlled knife and laser cutting rooms, on-premise freezer storage, and easy access to the greater New England manufacturing region, while the Montpelier, Vermont, office houses process engineering, quality, and administrative functions.
