Coating
Web’s GMP coating processes are designed to add functionality to flexible
materials.
Our lab and pilot coating services enable fast and cost effective evaluation of
alternative coating application methods, chemical formulations, and substrates.
Commercial scale coating services are available for widths ranging from 10-40
inches.
Coating methods include roto-gravure, slot die, and spray nozzle. All methods
can be applied in either 100% or patterned coating coverage.
Functional coatings include:
- Cleansing
- Lubricating
- Hydrophilic and hydrophobic coatings
- Antistatic
- Slip modification
- UV masking
- Hot melt or aqueous adhesives
- Release coatings and pressure sensitive adhesives.

Printing
Web’s flexo and roto-gravure printing processes are GMP-compliant and designed
for skin-contact applications. We print on paper, films, foils, and non-wovens
(down to 10 gsm). With in-line converting, our processes are designed for
tight-tolerance “in the box” registration. Print widths available range from
10-90 inches.
Laminating
From simple two-layer laminates to complex to multi-substrate constructions with
multiple lanes, Web’s laminating processes combine our know-how in adhesives,
coating, web guiding, and tension control. Our capabilities include lamination
of films, foils, low modulus non-wovens, elastomers, papers, and metals.
Rotary Die Cutting
We combine our in-line rotary die cutting processes with slitting and rewinding
for optimal alignment and high-speed performance.
